Publication Ethics

UNES Jurnal Mahasiswa Pertanian (UJMP) is a peer-reviewed journal that upholds ethical standards for academic publications and against publication malpractice including plagiarism. Therefore, it is important to agree on proper ethical behavior for scientific journal publication from all parties including: publishers, authors, editors, and peer reviewers to develop a conductive scientific environment and to avoid certain problems that may arise due to some conflicts of interest.

Research Paper Writing
The cohort of research paper authors should include those who have contributed to research concept, research design, data acquisition and analysis, or interpretation of the research being reported on. Co-authors should be listed as everyone who has made a significant contribution to the manuscript. The corresponding author should be responsible for the authorship of the paper. Corresponding authors must ensure that all co-authors are listed in the paper, and that all co-authors have viewed and approved the paper and have approved the submission for publication.

Author Assignment
The author is responsible for providing original data without plagiarism and fraudulent data. Many forms of plagiarism include copying or prephrasing important parts of other people's papers without attribution or permission from the author. Authors must ensure that they have written fully original work regarding the manuscript submitted to the Agricultural Student Scientific Journal. The author is required to follow the peer review process set by the Agricultural Student Scientific Journal. Submitted manuscripts should not be being considered or accepted for other journals where part of the data has been published elsewhere, the source must be properly acknowledged or cited. Proper citations and permissions are required when authors reproduce data from other sources.

Editorial Tasks
The journal editor of the Agricultural Student Scientific Journal is responsible for deciding which articles should be published and which should be rejected. They must evaluate submitted manuscripts for their intellectual and academic content without discrimination of the author's race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, nationality, political or geographical origin. Editors of the Journal of Agricultural Student Scientific Journal may not disseminate any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the concerned authors, reviewers, prospective reviewers, other editorial advisors, and publishers, as appropriate. Unpublished material disclosed in submitted manuscripts may not be used in an editor's own research without written consent from the author.

Reviewer Task
Reviewers are asked to help improve the quality of submitted manuscripts through an objective review process within the scheduled timeframe, and to contribute to the decision-making process on manuscripts. Editors must notify reviewers if they find published or submitted content similar to what is being reviewed. Reviewers must avoid conflicts of interest in relation to research, authors and/or research funders. Any information provided by the editor or author must be kept confidential.
